Salary: $100k-$125k

Requirements: 5+ years of accounting preferably for a construction or real estate company

With 40+ years in business, we are a construction company focused in restoration and roofing projects. We serve industries spanning across Commercial, Multifamily, Industrial, and healthcare.

We are currently hiring for an experienced project accountant who will be responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of assigned projects. You will maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all financial aspects, review incurred costs, and provide detailed support. You will manage daily operations related to projects, including invoicing, budget reconciliation, variance identification, and addressing gross margin gaps in collaboration with the operations team.

What You Will Be Doing

• Oversee project progress from initiation to completion
• Anticipate and resolve project issues with the project team
• Assist in developing project budgets to align with overall financial goals
• Analyze cost variances and discrepancies, providing insights and recommendations to project managers
• Communicate concerns or issues to project and accounting management
• Process and review subcontractor work orders and pay applications for compliance
• Monitor and track project costs, including direct and indirect expenses, labor, and materials
• Process client pay applications and invoices
• Perform project close-out financial and administrative functions
• Prepare detailed project analyses for operations and finance management as needed
  
  

What You Need for this Position

• 5+ years Accounting experience
• Experience at a construction/ real estate company
• Experience with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with accountants, clients, and upper management
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, so similar discipline (Masters Degree is a plus)
