Quantitative Investment Intern

Internship Program

The Quantitative Investment internship is an 10-week program (June-August). As an intern, you will work alongside the risk management and quantitative investment team as they combine data science with financial investment knowledge to provide data driven insights for the Global Listed REIT investment team as well as a variety of key groups at CenterSquare. The internship will be based in CenterSquare’s Conshohocken, PA office and is an in-office position.

Description

• Receive on the job training gaining knowledge of the Global REIT market
• Work independently with guidance on 1-2 research projects
• Learn how to utilize the Bloomberg Terminal to extract data
• Participate in portfolio and broker meetings
• Attend weekly lunch and learn sessions with various professionals in the organization to gain an understanding of how the firm operates
• Exposure to portfolio managers and senior leaders in the organization
• Assigned to a mentor who will provide professional guidance throughout the internship
• Attend social networking activities which will occur over the course of the summer
• Project presentation to team members/senior leaders at close of internship
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong academic background and GPA, majoring in finance, accounting, economics or mathematics
• A keen interest in real estate, the stock market and/or macroeconomic events
• Superior knowledge of excel required (i.e. vlookups, macros and index)
• Experience with Python or R a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Outgoing personality, demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task
