Job purpose

The CMD Rental Fleet Manger will oversee, guide, coordinate and aggressively promote the rental of CMD machines. This manager will also maximize the utilization of time, dollars and rental strategies to increase profits.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Direct the daily activity of the Rental Representatives, Rental Coordinators and Sales Representatives
  • Ensure proper coverage for the rental fleet is being met
  • Lead highly motivated, productive and qualified rental force
  • Guide to maximize profitable revenue growth, customer friendly operations and efficient rental fleet processes
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales, VP of Major Accounts and Executive VP COO, to create/develop reporting tools to measure and maximize trends, operating profits and positive cash flow
  • Develop and maintain Rental Equipment Inspection Standards
  • Manage pricing for Rental Fleet Equipment
  • Management of underperforming assets
  • Conduct branch fleet audit visits for performance improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must possess at least 6 years' related experience in Rental Fleet Management, as a Fleet or Branch Manager
  • High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree in business preferred
  • Must possess a valid state Driver’s License
  • Must be able to travel as needed
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Management experience in fleet including procurement, life cycle management, ongoing preventative maintenance, compliance, and related technologies
  • Excellent people skills, including ability to build and support professional relationships
  • Desire to follow and promote processes, policies and procedures
  • Must have JDE experience and master computer skills to create analytical spreadsheets, charts, and presentations (PowerPoint)
  • Must understand company goals and demonstrate daily actions to meet the needs of the company
  • A team player who understands that product support is a critical part of success
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to drive innovation and change
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function effectively in a challenging environment
  • Self-starter that does not require close daily supervision
