Summary Description:

The Sales & Replenishment Analyst is an active participant in the sales and logistics processes required to service the account(s) within their ownership. This position regularly accesses retailer portals, conducts POS/inventory analysis and forecasting/demand planning, and reviews and reports relevant key metrics.

What will your day look like?

  • Collect, maintain, analyze, and deliver accurate, timely, and professional weekly departmental point-of-sale reports for designated areas of responsibility on regular cycles (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) as appropriate.
  • Evaluate and report customer, retailer channel and market performance data to increase sales productivity, direct marketing initiatives, support forecast process and assist in business planning.
  • Produce insightful, actionable, and presentable Ad-Hoc reports accurately and timely for distribution to both internal and external customers. Respond quickly to ad-hoc requests with short notice and deadlines.
  • Utilize all available data to stay ahead of trends, gauge product demand, report findings, and validate customer forecast data. When discrepancies are found, provide feedback and dialogue to align forecasts.
  • Develop productive working relationships with key major retailer contacts, including replenishment, forecasting, and buyer counterparts when relevant at the designated account(s) to align on sales and promotional forecasts and supply chain initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Sales Team and Supply Chain to create item-level forecasts and support internal S&OP processes.
  • Manage inventory levels to achieve customer in-stock and On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) goals without driving excess inventory.
  • Analyze product categories, changing assortments, price points, location, active and discontinued items, store volume groups, retail comp stores vs. total, customer behavior or placement-driven trend changes, etc., to capture and report relevant business insights.
  • Actively participate and support the line review process.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to both internal and external customers.
  • Work with other team members as needed on ad-hoc data reporting and analysis
  • Support item set up and maintenance as a backup for the sales support team, as needed.


What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Strong analytic skill set with the ability to provide actionable recommendations based on key performance indicators.
  • Experience using one or more of the following retail reporting portals –Retail Link, Home Depot Supplier Hub, Lowe’s Link, Vendor DART, and Target Partners Online.
  • Experience working with other hardware, home center and Farm & Ranch customers via portals is preferred- ACE, Orgill, Do-It-Best, True Value, Menards, Tractors Supply
  • Strong teamwork; able to effectively participate and motivate others working within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to present to all levels within the organization as well as customers.
  • Should be goal-oriented, confident, outgoing, and able to succeed under pressure within a competitive environment.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. Desired knowledge includes pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IFS (SUMIFS, AVERAGEIFS, etc.), chart and graph creation, etc.
  • Proficient in other Microsoft Office suite software: Word, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher.
  • Able to adapt to new technology.
