Stand Strong Fencing of Boise is growing and currently seeking an experienced sales consultant looking to advance their career with a locally-owned, nationally-backed fencing solutions company by generating revenue growth, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets.

The Job

As a sales consultant, you’ll follow up on leads, generate leads, present and sell the features and benefits of Stand Strong Fence products, continually prospect for new customers through networking, referrals, and effective follow-up, and set and maintain the required number of appointments to meet or exceed sales goals. 

You’ll learn and adopt the Stand Strong Fencing structured management process and complete specialized training to guide your success.

Compensation is incentive based (training base + commission), and is largely determined by the success of the individual sales consultant. Anticipated compensation is $50k to $100k+ per year, plus incentive bonus if sales targets are reached.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Professionally represent Stand Strong Fencing 
  • Network and get involved with the community
  • Develop expertise in products and industry knowledge
  • Understand the current marketplace, competitors, and industry trends
  • Develop product reference documents and product materials for customers
  • Create and maintain a product marketing plan for increasing sales and revenue 
  • Demonstrate products to consumers
  • Confirm and qualify booked appointments
  • Prioritize sales calls and appointments
  • Generate organic leads
  • Provide consultative customer appointments
  • Generate accurate and margin-appropriate estimates
  • Professionally and comprehensively present proposals to property owners
  • Work with install team leaders to understand, explain and analyze client requirements 
  • Respond immediately to employee issues and customer needs
  • Interact with customers and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner
  • Address potential client queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform basic record keeping and data entry to ensure proper tracking of sales and client needs and inquiries

Skills And Experience 



Required:  

  • Proven experience in sales
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Polished and professional demeanor
  • Strong work ethic
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with the internet
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to treat others with respect and gain trust
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred:  

  • College degree in related field or relevant experience 
  • Construction or home service sales experience



Physical Requirements:

  • Stand, walk, sit, twist, use both hands, reach with hands and arms, push, pull, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear
  • Work outside in elements and varying seasons
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle for extended time periods
  • Must be able and willing to occasionally walk short distances, knock on doors and engage with homeowners and business owners
