Scientific Writer - Vaccines
We are seeking a Scientific Writer - Vaccines to join Q² Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business as a remote position.

As a Scientific Writer – Vaccines, you will be responsible for managing simple projects, creating documents according to the company’s SOPs and customer requirements within agreed timelines. You will be negotiating timelines, responding to customer comments with senior support, and staying updated on medical/technical writing and regulatory knowledge, including GCP and advances in drug development.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $58,800.00 - $98,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.

As a Scientific Writer – Vaccines, you will be responsible for managing simple projects, creating documents according to the company’s SOPs and customer requirements within agreed timelines. You will be negotiating timelines, responding to customer comments with senior support, and staying updated on medical/technical writing and regulatory knowledge, including GCP and advances in drug development.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Taking a leading role in preparing assigned documents, including, but not limited to, confirming the scope of the task, confirming templates and specifications, negotiating, and adhering to timelines, organizing document reviews, communicating directly with the customer.
- Managing day-to-day workload: identifying project needs, tracking timelines and implementing customer requests, keeping manager/senior staff abreast of progress on tasks and any potential problems with project work.
- Attending project team meetings with or without other writers and participating/leading comments resolution or similar meetings with external customers.
- Giving simple presentation to an existing customer (e.g., on processes at a Kick-off meeting).
- Completing project finance activities, including monitoring, and forecasting budgeted hours.
- Having awareness of budgets and project finance principles, moving towards review, and understanding of budgets relating to assigned projects, including out of scope activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in life sciences related discipline or related field Required.
- Master's Degree or Ph.D. in life sciences related discipline or related field Preferred.
- 1-3 years of prior relevant experience and related competency levels Required.
- Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Good understanding of common statistical methods used in clinical trials and/or interpretation of their results, and statistical principles and of medical terminology across a range of therapeutic areas.
- Ability to integrate, interpret, and summarize data from a variety of sources in a clear and concise manner.
- In depth knowledge of drug development, medical writing, and associated regulations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including grammatical/technical writing skills.
