Omega is looking for a Senior Accountantwho will be an integral part of the Accounting Department, focused on the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. This position reports to the Controller and is on-site. Core hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The Ideal Candidate has:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Manufacturing experience/cost accounting preferred
• Experience with QuickBooks and ERP systems
• Above average skills utilizing MS Office programs, including Word and Excel
• Confidentiality, integrity and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate (both written and verbal) with people at all levels and under a wide variety of circumstances
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills, and patience in dealing with others are essential
  
  

Responsibilities include:

• Month-end close within 10 working days
• General Ledger and Job Analysis to ensure revenue and expenses are being correctly reported
• Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, including prepaids, warranties, service contracts, etc
• Month-end inventory reconciliation, as well as year-end physical inventory reconciliation
• Critical analysis of monthly financial statements for consistency and accuracy
• Monthly sales tax returns completed accurately and timely
• Lead on Accounts Receivable invoicing, customer exemption certificates and job reconciliations
• Track vendors W-9s and processes 1099s at year-end
• Assist with Accounts Payable, ensuring consistent general ledger account coding
• Assist with Weekly Metrics to management
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and documentation of processes
• Assist with external financial audits
• Assist with other tasks as assigned
