- Oversee the daily operations of finance activities , including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Maintain and reconfigure monthly operating systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial records and reports.
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and/or statements.
- Manage the general ledger accounts, including account reconciliation and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Prepare yearly budgets and projections
- Implement and achieve operational objectives such as developing action plans, audit operations and overall process improvement.
- Provide leadership, training, and support to accounting staff.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience with managing general ledger accounts and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
- Experience with Sage 50 and AppFolio.
