Allworth Financial is seeking an experienced Sr. Content Writer who will lead our efforts in producing clear, persuasive content and communications for various sales enablement resources. This senior associate will be a key member of the team charged with bringing the Allworth brand, capabilities, and services to life through words.

This role is full-time exempt position with a Salary range of $90,000 to $109,000. This is a hybrid position and can be performed in one of the following offices: Greater Sacramento region/ Dallas, Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Write engaging content for a wide range of consumer facing sales material (print and digital) including case studies, articles, guides, presentations, pitch decks, infographics, etc.
  • Conduct interviews and research necessary to develop content for any given topic that requires more in-depth detail.
  • Execute the translation of complex financial topics, information, and ideas into written material that is both thorough and approachable for the end user and intended audience. Understand the gap and the why
  • Own the research, writing, and editing for professional quality sale enablement content.
  • Take assigned projects from initial concept to completion—managing every step of the process along the way.
  • Collaborate with creative counterparts to help realize complex concepts from copy to design.
  • Revise content whenever customers or clients request changes—providing appropriate feedback and updates to stakeholders as content development progresses.
  • Identify gaps within content requests—recommending solutions whenever necessary.
  • Edit content to ensure voice, grammar and style is on point.
  • Work within a marketing project management system (Monday.com, Asana, ProofHub, Clarizen, Basecamp, or other).

Skills

  • Has skilled grasp of the English language, grammar rules, and carefully proofreads and edits content for clarity and accuracy.
  • Highly organized with demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
  • Explains complicated ideas/concepts in a clear and concise manner—distilling complex subjects into approachable and easily understood language.
  • Able to work within creative briefs and meet tight deadlines outlined by the client/production team/Manager.
  • The ability to independently research industry-related topics (combining online sources, subject matter expert interviews, and professional studies) to build content that is compelling, accurate, and aligned with the organizations philosophies.
  • Highly adept at working cross-divisionally to help define clients' content needs, working closely with sales, divisional leadership, product owners, other writers, and editors to ensure alignment, accuracy, and consistency in messaging.
  • Skilled at conveying written concepts with inhouse design counterparts to meet client expectations and achieve quality results.
  • Working with content strategists and production team to build and manage content calendar to plan workload and meet deadlines.
  • Experience conducting media outreach when appropriate for public relations article placement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or other marketing related discipline required.
  • 10+ years in communications; 5+ years as a Sr. Content Writer, Copywriter, or similar role.
  • Portfolio of published original content and other sales enablement materials available for review (white pages, case studies, customer success stories, topical one-pagers, slide presentations, press releases, articles, and more).
