Senior Manager, Manufacturing
Job Description
As the Senior Manager of Manufacturing, you will oversee a group of workers concentrated on highly complex and technical responsibilities, creating cutting-edge medical devices in low-particulate, environmentally controlled rooms using precision equipment.
Your role:
- Being a highly visible, hands-on team builder, while motivating, coaching, and leading a 3-shift production team.
- Collaborating with the Operations, Factory Engineering, Supplier Quality, Quality Ops, Finance, and R&D teams to optimize processes, and applying Lean principles from the start of product introduction.
- Becoming a Business Leader across Philips, managing cross factory and cross business goals, product supply, escalations, and communications.
- Driving efforts to address regulatory compliance issues related to production and being responsible for maintaining the highest level of quality and regulatory compliance.
- Using strong project management skills in support of Business Goals for Cost Savings, Assurance of Supply, Inventory and Quality.
- Leading capital improvement projects to maintain operational excellence and support continuous improvement.
- You’ve acquired 7+ years of experience in manufacturing and a minimum of 3 years in a people management role (med device and/or regulated industry experience – preferred).
- Your skills include the ability to understand technology, process, and critical to product (CTQ) quality characteristics, experience driving Lean Continuous Improvement and you have demonstrated Project/Program management knowledge, with a proven track record of on time, in-scope and in budget project delivery. Green belt/black belt certification or Six Sigma experience is a plus. Knowledge of Medical device GMP is a plus.
- You have a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Supply Chain discipline, or equivalent experience.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
- You’re an excellent communicator (both written and verbal) and demonstrate persuasiveness and initiative.
