Senior Manager Marketing and Technology - Iron and Steelmaking

Description:

Responsible for developing, administering and executing the product/service strategy with the aim of increasing the sales and profitability of the assigned portfolios. This position is responsible for the financial and marketing aspects of the product lines to ensure growth and profitability by initiating new and maintaining current product strategies to meet the business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Propose strategies for the Product or Services portfolio management
• Optimize use of available resources, maximize Vesuvius profitability and M&T effectiveness
• Develop, implement and monitor product/service pricing strategy
• Understand the market and guide the internal product development and innovation
• Lead the interaction between cross-functional teams and monitor product performance issues resolution
• Build the tools to market the product benefits to customers and develop plans to enable effective customer communication
• Keep track of competitive activities and develop strategies/plans to effectively compete against other suppliers
• Lead the go-to market launches of New products and active tracking post-launches
• Lead the product teams and implement product strategy

• Active tracking of Market share and development of objectives for growth and improvement
• Maximized margin value of assigned portfolio
• Selling tools for the sales force
• Trained and technically competent sales force
• Resolution of customer application issues and/or development opportunities
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.
• 5 plus years of steelmaking experience.
• Product and innovation management experience required
• Refractory development, application and troubleshooting experience a plus
