Role Description
We’re seeking an experienced Sr. Product Designer to join our growing team that will focus on designing critical experiences across the b.well platform. This is a full time role and open to fully remote work.
What you’ll do:
Master Of Your Craft
Highly skilled in fundamental human centered design principles and practices as they relate to digital products (user experience, user interface, systems design, service design, design research, product design) while still having room to grow and become an expert
Ability to lead collaborative design sessions and user experience work flows
Passion for continued learning and solving problems utilizing innovation and experimentation
Contribute to, and enforce, our platform design system, b.art
Rapidly produce quality work within given timelines for both short-term improvements as well as long-term strategic experience goals
An understanding of modern UX design principles and tools such as Figma
5+ years experience in product design, including experience building and evolving an effective design system
Cares deeply about technical, scalable, and user-centric models of building beautiful products that people love
An excellent communicator and influencer who can work well with various groups and levels of the organization
Experience planning, conducting, and synthesizing both qualitative and quantitative design research
Thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, with an entrepreneurial ownership mentality
Add Business Value
Directs junior designers in order to deliver design work based on product requirements, as well as conceptual ideation
Actively collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders such as researchers, developers, product managers, project managers, content strategists, operations, and business stakeholders within an agile working methodology
Seeks to get continuous feedback through demos, discussions, and working sessions
Contributes to product roadmap prioritization and planning by acting as an advocate for the end user
Champion of our design philosophies both within the team and within the larger b.well organization
Ability to tie back every design decision to the needs of the user, overlap with company or portfolio KPIs and OKRs
Ability to discover the space where the needs of the user overlap with company KPIs and OKRs, and tie back every design decision to that space
Communication
Actively participates in and leads discussions within the Design & Research team to learn and bring new ideas to the table
Interacts with others for clarity, and participates in design reviews both to learn and grow, and to contribute feedback and direction to others on the team
Takes the lead on asking questions and clarifying design requirements
Frequently presents to internal and external stakeholders (as needed and appropriate)
Communicates to Design Director any blockers, general timelines, and capacity details to keep them in the loop
Great to have:
Experience in UI animation tools and practices
Have accredited studies in behavioral sciences
Is proficient in user accessibility requirements, principles and best practices in accordance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA Certification
The target salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options, benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
