Role Description:
The ideal candidate we seek is an experienced renewable energy project developer with a proven track record in delivering numerous distributed generation solar and storage projects. This individual thrives in dynamic environments driven by performance-based incentives. They excel in efficiently prioritizing tasks and objectives to ensure timely project completion. This individual must adeptly manage complex challenges such as municipal entitlement, interconnection, system design, environmental permitting, and asset valuation.
This role requires the ability to work independently in a remote setting, ensuring effective project management and collaboration with stakeholders across different locations.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Development team to strategize and execute market strategies aimed at acquiring new project opportunities.
Lead projects across their entire development lifecycle, from initial lead generation to achieving Notice to Proceed, ensuring smooth progress.
Travel frequently to conduct site visits, and engage in meetings with landowners, local governments, and other necessary in-person sessions, maintaining the Company's professional reputation.
Act as the primary point of contact with key external stakeholders such as landowners, municipal authorities, and Independent Power Producers (IPPs).
Efficiently manage project timelines to accurately forecast milestones and ensure timely delivery of project goals.
Requirements (PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ADEQUATE EXPERIENCE):
5+ years of full-cycle project development experience (Midwest preferred)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (i.e. technical, business, science)
Highly motivated, and able to work independently/prioritize daily work
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to travel when needed
