The Treasurer's Office seeks a highly organized and technically proficient Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of critical software development projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Agile or Kanban methodologies, experience in software development, and a strong understanding of financial systems and processes within a government context.


Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments. ·
  • Agile/Kanban Leadership: Guide project teams using Agile or Kanban methodologies to ensure efficient and adaptive project management.
  • Software Development Oversight: Collaborate with software development teams to define project scope, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including treasury staff, IT personnel, elected officials, and external vendors.
  • Financial Systems Expertise: Demonstrate a solid understanding of financial systems, treasury operations, and relevant government regulations.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and address project risks proactively to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, prepare progress reports, and ensure proper documentation.



Qualifications:


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, finance, or a related field.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Agile or Kanban methodologies. o 2+ years of experience in software development or working closely with software development teams.
  • Experience in a government or financial services environment is preferred.


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Trello).
  • Familiarity with software development tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and processes. ·


Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
