THE POSITION

Fast Forward is seeking a creative copywriter to tell the stories of the tech nonprofit sector - including nonprofits leveraging AI. The Social Impact Copywriter will produce content (mostly writing!) that raises visibility for - and shares the impact of - AI for Humanity and entrepreneurs developing tech for social good.

The ideal candidate is a great writer and driven marketer who has demonstrated success producing content. They are a storyteller and a highly-skilled communicator. And, they care deeply about finding work that resonates with their values to make a real difference.

This position is based in San Francisco, CA; it is a full-time, in-office role (no remote or hybrid work).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content:

• Execute on writing assignments, which may include blog posts, ghost writing op-eds and other thought leadership, and executive communications.
• Execute on deliverables for Fast Forward’s partners, which will include a host of different types of collateral.
• Support the Fast Forward marcomms team with day-to-day tasks on an as-needed basis.
• Create marketing strategies to improve engagement across channels.
• Support Content Marketing Manager on email newsletters as needed.
• Manage internal and external content repositories like the AI Resource Hub, photo folders, alumni logos, etc.

Social Media:

• Develop social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and execute across various platforms, ensuring consistency and alignment with overall marketing goals.
• Develop communications kits that support partners in sharing Fast Forward news.

Event Marketing:

• Create announcement blogs, landing pages, and other marketing collateral for events.
• Manage announcement and event emails, including managing invite lists.
• Support Content Marketing Manager on developing event signage.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone with these specific traits and experience:

• 3+ years of relevant experience in copywriting and marketing.
• Loves to write and come up with fresh story angles. Has an energetic tone and fresh voice that comes through in their writing.
• Strong attention to detail and doesn’t make low-effort mistakes.
• Passionate about the impact and potential of tech nonprofits.
• Skilled in project management. Can take a project from idea to successful execution (and manage everything that happens in between).
• Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment.
