Description
Seeking a talented Social Media Manager, Live Sports (SMM) to join the Prime Video Sports social media team. The Sports Social Media team at Prime Video is responsible for developing engaged social media audiences at scale, while also building and executing go-to-market promotional campaigns for our growing portfolio of live sports properties, including Thursday Night Football, NASCAR, National Women’s Soccer League, WNBA, and much more. With input from senior social leaders, the SMM will contribute directly to the day-to-day editorial and promotional content calendar, collaborate with internal and external creative teams to produce social content, and execute real-time, in-the-moment social media coverage of live events while balancing marketing goals, partner relationships, and engagement goals, among others.
Your tone-of-voice, creativity, knowledge of sports and internet culture, and platform expertise will support a developing social identity as our portfolio grows. The social media platforms utilized are public, highly visible marketing channels, with @NFLonPrime and @SportsOnPrime channels having 1M+ followers and growing, requiring creative thinking, strong copywriting, strategic planning, and extremely high judgement.

Prime Video has a vast selection of live and on demand sports content including Thursday Night Football, WNBA, New York Yankees, National Women’s Soccer League, and more. The Sports Marketing team is charged with creating world-class marketing campaigns to deliver this growing portfolio of live sports content to Amazon customers.

Basic Qualifications
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $108,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Key job responsibilities
- Oversee, contribute to, and execute social editorial and promotional calendar for @NFLonPrime and @SportsOnPrime social channels, with special attention paid to properties within the Prime portfolio.
- Advise social leadership on go-to-market planning for upcoming campaigns using current platform and editorial trends.
- Pitch, develop, and plan breakthrough social creative that drives high engagement before, during, and/or after our live events.
- Utilize strong sports editorial judgement to recognize and curate socially-relevant moments during both our live broadcasts and around the sports landscape, utilizing content production tools to optimize posts for each platform.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with agency partners who support day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate with the Prime Video brand social team and other cross-functional teams to make the biggest impact for priority moments broadcasts.
- Utilize insights and reporting to recommend changes to content and strategic approach.
- Build relationships and become a trusted partner with the external leagues/organizations we work with.
- Contribute to the maintenance of the team’s CMS.

Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional, non-internship, live sports social experience
- Experience posting directly to highly visible and public brand channels in a live environment.
- A deep passion for the intersection of sports, social media, and internet culture.
- Experience maintaining a social media editorial calendar.
- Experience writing social-minded copy.
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements and changes to social approach.
- Experience communicating with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with content production tools, such as Photoshop, Premiere, and Live Clipping tools like Grabyo.
- Willingness to work nights and weekends as broadcast calendar dictates
- Proven track record of engaging sports fans on social.
- Experience working with talent and talent teams to capture social-minded content on-site.
- Experience managing influencer campaigns a plus.
