Job Description

  • Cloud adoption for Oracle & MS SQL on Oracle Cloud and Azure Cloud. We are looking a strong Database Administrator to support this project within the exiting team as an extra resource.
  • 24/7 Production Environment Support and managing High Availability environments using Real Application Cluster (RAC), Failovers, Data Guard, RMAN and Cloning technologies using data domain
  • Cloning database from Production to lower environment
  • Migration database from on-prem to cloud
  • Performance tuning and troubleshooting issues working with developers
  • Oracle and SQL Server Database Administrator Responsibilities:
  • Assume the role of an independent contributor as an IT professional responsible for design of databases for financial applications
  • Experience and provide 24/7 Production Environment Support and managing High Availability environments using Real Application Cluster (RAC), Failovers, Data Guard, RMAN and Cloning technologies using data domain
  • Experience & implementation of MS SQL Server Database, Oracle Database, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle OID/LDAP, Apache Tomcat, Oracle Application Express (APEX) and Oracle Restful Data Services (ORDS)
  • Experience in Oracle Exadata administration
  • Experience in Oracle Data Guard and storage replication Experience in shell scripting and automation of day-to-day activities
  • Experience in database user provisioning/de-provisioning
  • Experience in database performance tuning and patching
  • Proven ability to contribute to projects with some guidance, capacity to work both independently and in a team and a willingness to seek advice and assistance
  • Knowledge on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) & Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a Plus Excellent communication (oral & written) and collaboration skills. Oracle and SQL Server Database Administrator Requirements:
  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in computer science
  • Familiarity with Oracle/SQL Server database design, coding, and documentation
  • Knowledge of Oracle Exadata administration, Oracle Application Express, Oracle Enterprise Manager and Oracle Data Guard
  • Knowledge of database backup/recovery procedures, performance tuning and SQL
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
