Overview/Purpose:

Hain Celestial is looking for an individual who is an analytical thinker that can process a lot of information and make decisions based on said information. The candidate must be comfortable speaking in front of small groups, as this role will be required to present their findings to stakeholders frequently. The Procurement Analyst leads market analysis for sourcing initiatives and projects across various categories, manages strategic procurement activities and performs complex data analysis to identify new sourcing and cost optimization opportunities. Provides critical support to the Procurement team, aiding in the successful implementation of corporate sourcing initiatives that will drive the attainment of significant savings. The role's primary goals are to drive cost optimization and productivity opportunities, strategic sourcing, market intelligence, management of pricing and commodities movements, integral data insight for negotiations and RFx processes, management and measurement of operational excellence and implementation of best practices that will reduce costs and improve financial performance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Purchasing’s role in Requests for Proposal (RFP) and/or Requests for Quotation (RFQ) by collecting requirements, bid publication, collection and analysis.
  • Analyze procurement data, market trends, and supplier performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing sourcing strategies.
  • Work on projects to identify cost reduction opportunities, analyze cost structures, and contribute to cost savings and avoidance targets.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies in all sourcing activities.
  • Build a cadence for the leaders and teams to review, report, and update global category strategies.
  • Support Ad-Hoc Requests for project updates, analysis, and executive level presentations.
  • Support Procurement leads by conducting regular update meetings with cross functional team members to capture progress toward savings initiatives.
  • Work with procurement category managers to collect category insights to prepare report outs for VP presentation to leadership.
  • Conduct targeted analysis related to the business goals for Sourcing and synthesize data to identify cost savings opportunities, mitigate risks, and improve category performance.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Economics or Supply Chain Management
  • 2 – 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing environment; CPG and food ingredient environment preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills with the capability to drive and deliver objectives and move initiatives to implementation.

  • Proven eye for business and strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Project Management
  • Expert analytical capabilities including advanced knowledge of Excel and demonstrated competence with data
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to push forward on projects, even when all of the requirements have not been defined.
  • Computer skills including MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI and ERP systems
  • Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas.
  • Preferred knowledge of the Consumer Product Goods Industry.
