Job Description: Senior Construction Manager / Owners Representative

Phoenix Arizona

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager for our Real Estate Development Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading the planning, design, and construction of Data Centers and or Large Scale mission critical projects, with an understanding of client interaction, project team roles, and the technical aspects of building design and construction.

Client:

US Based Commercial Real Estate firm, who offers expertise crosses multiple key disciplines.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning:

• Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, budget, and schedule.
• Define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria with stakeholders.
• Conduct site and risk assessments to inform project planning.
• Select and engage subcontractors and vendors for specialized tasks.

Project Execution:

• Oversee construction projects ensuring adherence to plans and specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors for smooth progress.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess progress and address issues. (Some travel required)
• Manage project documentation, change orders, and communication.

Budget and Cost Control:

• Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and cost control.
• Provide accurate cost forecasts and budget updates.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.

Schedule Management:

• Create and maintain project schedules, identifying critical path activities.
• Coordinate to minimize disruptions and optimize construction sequencing.

Team Leadership and Communication:

• Lead project teams, providing clear direction and support.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
• Conduct regular project meetings to review progress and resolve issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant experience considered.
• Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager in datacenter builds.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Ability to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
