Sr. Engineering Manager

MISSION

The Engineering Manager will lead the engineering function helping to build toward a “Best in Class” engineered, end-to-end solutions for new and existing customers. This is a TRUE BUILD AND GROWTH OPPORTUNITY for someone who has led an Engineering Team, (remotely), and knows how to develop an Enterprise Engineering Department across several locations!

• Develop process and procedure to manage the engineering team
• Manage resources for projects for new and existing customers
• Identify gaps and address them creating new processes and solutions by leveraging talent, technology and external resources
• Understand key performance indicators by site
• Develop and manage engineering team remotely and by traveling on-site
• Create growth and development of in-house engineering talent while fostering a curious mindset towards priorities and value creation
• Align with on-site directors and managers to develop key metrics for use in management of engineering team
• Transform big business challenges into executable elements
• Inspire and grow a strong Engineering team

Qualifications:

• Engineering Degree
• 12+ years’ experience in Engineering
• Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, or with Automotive suppliers
• 5+ years of Project management experience (multiple projects at one time)
• Analytical and Data focused
• Management experience of an Engineering team of 5 direct and 10 or more indirect reports
• Execution driven
• Demonstrated leadership skills while inspiring the team daily
• Strong Communication skills
• Lean expert
• Value stream mapping
