Role purpose
Joining Tate & Lyle at this exciting time means you will play an integral role in establishing the knowledge management capabilities that will help unlock our ability to transform lives through the science of food.
As the Sr. Manager of the knowledge management team, you will function as the guide, supervisor, and champion of the KM team. In this role, the KM leader will ensure that all KM initiatives support and align with the mission and goals of the organization. Additionally, the KM leader will oversee the KM team’s relationship with business leaders and other stakeholders involved in KM activities, regardless of any functional or geographic boundaries that may exist.
As a part of the newly created Knowledge Management team, you will play a vital role in establishing the knowledge management program for Tate & Lyle. With your entrepreneurial spirit, you will have opportunities to contribute to developing the enterprise KM strategy, build implementation plans, and execute identified KM projects.

Main Accountabilities
- Ensures that the Tate & Lyle KM activities align with enterprise vision, mission, and goals
- Maintains the knowledge strategy and ensure ongoing alignment with the business strategy
- Ensures effective stakeholder and change management plans are developed and executed to achieve KM objectives
- Facilitates and drives the development of the enterprise KM toolkit
- Seeks out opportunities where knowledge approaches can add value to the enterprise
- Facilitates and drives KM projects selected by KM Operating Committee
- Promotes KM and the use of common approaches across teams, functions, locations, and/or business units
- Provides KM thought leadership and expertise to Sr. Leaders, teams, functions, locations and/or business units
- Collaborates with digital team to ensure knowledge flow is enhanced through technology enablement and KM approaches are integrated into digital platforms
- Monitors the effectiveness of KM processes, approaches, and technology to assess impact and suggest improvements
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical or scientific background; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- 8-10 years related experience
- Executive leadership skills and high emotional intelligence
- Design thinking and systems thinking skills
- Thorough understanding of KM, including the KM strategy and roadmap
- Strong facilitator, change agent, and communicator (a good consultant)
- Confident and effective communicator utilizing various media
- Skilful listener with an open style; good at facilitating discussion
- Excellent influencing skills
- Good at networking, collaboration and sharing ideas and success
- Clear understanding of business processes and situations
- Good working knowledge of organizational and business strategy
- Good appreciation of customer needs at both the operational and strategic level
- Strong project management oversight, and ability to apply “hands on” skills as needed
- A high-level understanding of analytics, including how to use data to influence decisions and communicate business impact
- Able to balance good discipline with flexibility to achieve goals efficiently while incorporating evolving levels of organizational knowledge
- Experience in Knowledge Management program implementation
- Strong understanding of Food & Beverage Industry
- Strong understanding of Change Management methodologies (ADKAR, 7-S, etc.)
