As our Supply Planning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in refining our supply chain operations, ensuring optimal inventory management, and driving strategic initiatives to support our growth. Reporting to the Vice President of Planning, you will lead efforts to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in supply planning, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with our overall business objectives. We are early in the process so you will have the opportunity to shape the capabilities and define our future state on this journey.
Duties and Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop the supply and material planning team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Strategic Planning Leadership: Develop and execute supply chain strategies that optimize inventory levels, minimize costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
Capacity and Resource Optimization: Analyze and optimize production capacity to meet customer demands while maximizing resource utilization.
Supplier Collaboration: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely material delivery, supporting uninterrupted production schedules.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and implement effective procedures to minimize stockouts and reduce excess inventory.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and address supply chain risks, ensuring robust contingency plans are in place.
Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve supply planning performance.
Technology Utilization: Leverage advanced planning software, with a preference for experience in SAP and/or Netstock, to enhance decision-making and operational transparency.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred certifications: APICS CSCP or CPIM.
Deep understanding of supply chain management principles, including capacity planning and logistics.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast, interpret data, and make data-driven decisions.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams in a dynamic environment.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
