Position Description- Technology Information Systems Supervisor

This position is a ‘working’ supervisor and is expected to help complete and manage daily, weekly and monthly activities within the Technology Information Systems Department. This position provides supervision and monitoring of performance and contractual compliance as well as performance management and coaching. This is a hybrid role with up to three days a week expected in office.

Expected Salary: $65,000-$85,000 (depending on experience level)

Essential Job Functions: Supervising and Managing the TIS Department: Hiring, training, and evaluating TIS staff. Overseeing day-to-day operations within the TIS Department. Developing and Implementing TIS Policies, Procedures and Best Practices: Creating guidelines for the organization. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and security protocols. Designing, Developing and Implementing Systems and Procedures: Coordinating the development and implementation of projects and systems. Streamlining processes to improve efficiency. Streamlining inventory Ensuring Data Security, Backup Systems and Disaster Recovery: Stays current with HIPAA. Stays current with TIS Security. Safeguarding data and network access. Implementing and testing backup solutions to prevent data loss. Implementing and testing Disaster Recovery solutions Aligning with User Needs and Organizational Policy: Ensuring that TIS systems meet user requirements. Contributing to overall organizational policy and success. Identifying and Solving Problems Strategically: Identifying areas for improvement. Implementing solutions proactively. Auditing Systems and Assessing Outcomes: Regularly evaluating system and user Access. Regularly evaluating TIS systems. Assessing their performance and effectiveness. Fills in for Manager of TIS as necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or similar degree or a minimum of 5 years experience working in the IT field and 2 years IT Supervisory experience. Intermediate to advanced knowledge in -- Help Desk, MS Office, Email, Sharepoint, Active Directory, Project Management, Laptops, cell phones. Basic networking skills. Ability to work with diverse populations and programs. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to utilize different conflict modes to resolve issues. Tolerant, empathetic, good interviewing capability. Ability to collaborate and problem solve in a self-directed team environment. Good organizational and teamwork skills.
