Redaptive develops leading-edge IoT hardware for commercial and industrial real estate data acquisition. The company has also adopted an outsourcing model to manage the hardware supply chain for our meters, sensors, and accessory manufacturing.  We engage contract manufacturers and 3rd parties to source, price, procure, assemble, test, and ultimately ship our products.

Tools, processes, and scalability are critical factors in meeting our goals.  This position will be the primary contact point for external hardware supply chain partners and internal communications.  There is also a system design, implementation, and procurement element to this position in the form of the order fulfillment process, PLM and ERP tool implementation, and traditional hardware procurement activities.

You will develop and provide strategy, vision, and direction for multiple functions ( manufacturing, product testing, logistics, and material management).

You will also implement company-wide policies and practices for manufacturing and solve complex issues where problems are not clearly defined.

You will lead the development of new methods that are significant to the organization and direct the activities of multiple integrated internal or external functions where decisions have significant financial or customer impact.

This role will report to the Group Leader of Service Delivery. You will lead resources and collaborate closely with colleagues and leaders in the US and India.


Responsibilities and Duties
  • Strategic Leadership 
  • Vision and Strategy: Develop and provide strategy, vision, and direction for manufacturing, product testing, logistics, and material management functions. 
  • Company Policies: Participate in establishing broader company policies and translate them into multi-functional objectives. 
  • Policy Influence: Influence policymaking and strategy based on communication strategies and persuasion skills. 
  • Executive Collaboration: Partner with executive leadership to provide cohesive direction toward company goals and ensure alignment with business objectives and customer requirements. 
  • Manufacturing Optimization 
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process optimization, automation, and digital transformation opportunities within our manufacturing operations. 
  • Productivity Enhancement: Drive initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and increase throughput. 
  • Quality Assurance: Implement appropriate quality control measures and predictive analytics to ensure the highest standards of product quality and reliability. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction. 
  • Supply Chain Integration 
  • Supply Chain Execution: Lead efforts to execute and optimize our supply chain processes to improve visibility, traceability, and agility. 
  • Demand Forecasting: Implement solutions for demand forecasting, inventory management, and logistics optimization. 
  • Inventory Management: Oversee various strategic inventory positions related to hardware components, in-development unreleased hardware products, hardware product FGI, accessories, and consumables. 
  • Procurement Management: Manage procurement of materials, parts, components, systems, and equipment. Negotiate contracts and coordinate purchasing activities to maintain inventories at planned levels. 
  • Team and Stakeholder Management 
  • Team Building: Build and develop a high-performing team of executive leaders, IoT engineers, manufacturing experts, and supply chain professionals. 
  • Mentorship: Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, customers, and external partners. Communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities effectively to key stakeholders. 
  • Compliance and Risk Management 
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to product development, manufacturing, and supply chain operations. 
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and mitigate risks to safeguard the integrity and security of our operations. 
  • Operational Management 
  • Contract Manufacturers and 3PL Logistics Providers: Manage the relationship with manufacturing partners to deliver peripherals such as sensors, sensor harnesses, labels, accessory kit items, packaging, etc
  • Order Fulfillment: Set up and oversee the order fulfillment process, focusing on cost, lead time, OTS predictability, inventory control, scalability, etc. Ensure orders are accurately configured, entered into the Salesforce order management system, and processed to meet customer expectations. 


Required Abilities and Skills
  • Experience implementing company-wide policies and practices
  • Accountable for financial results affecting function and company performance
  • Experienced at S&OP forecasting and build plan creation.
  • Experience managing relationships with electronic hardware factories and 3PL logistics providers
  • Demonstrated ability to perform capacity analysis.
  • Experience with PO creation and procurement management
  • Skilled in leading procurement organizations, including cost negotiations, inventory management, hardware component sourcing, and basic cost accounting practices/principles
  • Ability to define and lead supply chain metrics reporting
  • Experienced leader of change management and best practices.
  • Proficient at order fulfillment – backlog management, customer/internal lead-time, and OTS control
  • Demonstrated experience in operations dashboard creation and reporting
  • Expertise in operational management concerning receiving, storing, picking, shipping, and order management functions
  • Ability to drive cost savings while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Superb analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be proficient with the following applications and systems:
  • ERP, PLM and Shop Floor Control Systems (MES),
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS),
  • Procurement Systems: Netsuite, Oracle, SAP. 
  • Product Lifecycle Management systems: Arena or Agile 
  • Development systems: Atlassian Confluence and Jira
  • CRM system: Salesforce
  • Have an ergonomically correct and functional work-from-home workstation set up; amenable to hybrid working from home and in an office setting


Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain and logistics management, preferably in the energy, construction, or manufacturing sectors
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful supply chain strategies and initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics best practices, and inventory management techniques
  • Experience with supply chain management software and ERP systems
  • Experience managing executive relationships with electronic hardware factories and 3PL logistics providers
  • Knowledge of profit and loss, contracts, balance sheet and cash flow management, and general finance and budgeting. 
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding operational skills
  • Very strong negotiation skills, analytical skills, strategic thinking, and decision-making ability
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

  • This position is hybrid. Employee is expected to travel to the company office in San Francisco or to a factory or 3PL logistics center 1-3 times per week for hands-on product or process evaluation, supplier site inspection, supplier management engagement, and other physical hardware management tasks


Travel
  • 15% travel is expected to engage customers, speak at conferences, engage remote engineering teams, review, audit and manage factories and logistics distribution centers in-person
