Job Description
We are currently seeking a Senior Vice President/ Managing Director of Acquisitions to join this Austin area Real Estate Investment company. We are looking for an individual with acquisitions experience in the multiple geographic regions (sunbelt preferred) to assist in Value-Add and Core investment initiatives. The SVP of Investments will be responsible for full cycle acquisitions from sourcing through to close as well as leading the investments team.
The Senior Vice President of Investments primary objective is to expand the firm's high yield program to achieve long-term, dependable, tax efficient cash flow for the firm and its investors.
- Identify multifamily acquisition opportunities across the target markets (TX, GA, TN).
- Should have the ability to periodically reevaluate multifamily market to determine those which best meet the firm's investment objectives.
- Ability to identify, underwrite and recommend potential investment opportunities by researching property, demographic and other pertinent information within target markets and apply analytical processes to determine whether opportunities meet or exceed the company's investment criteria.
- Ability to manage and oversee full due diligence process
- Ability to perform purchase & sale contract negotiations, as well as, work the appropriate channels for financing new acquisitions through both agency and bank debt scenarios.
- Ability to write clear and concise communications and draft Investment Memoranda for presentation to the firm's Investment Committee.
- Maintain existing and establish new relationships with brokers, owners, operators, attorneys and existing company connections in target markets.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor degree in business, real estate, economics, or finance. MBA or Masters in Real Estate degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 8 years of applicable industry experience ideally at an institutional fund.
- Must have both experience within the multifamily/residential sector and have proven track record of acquiring assets across the sunbelt region.
- Ability to build relationships with and evaluate JV equity, GP co-invest, and equity recap options for future investments
- Dynamic sales skills, persistence, and a strong desire to succeed.
- Detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task in a driven professional environment.
High growth opportunity and total compensation will be driven by transaction volume. Targeting a base salary in the $175,000 to $230,000 range with bonus and long term incentives. There is flexibility for a well qualified applicant.
