We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Systems Engineer who thrives in a fun, fast-paced environment and is enthusiastic about finding solutions to technical issues and helping others succeed.
As Systems Engineer, you’ll resolve a wide variety of support requests from Rocket IT clients and employees. You’ll work closely with the rest of the Help Desk team and utilize state-of-the-art remote management tools to provide escalated support to help our clients thrive. The ideal Systems Engineer candidate is an experienced, organized, and efficient problem solver.
Key Responsibilities
Help people and organizations maximize IT uptime and performance
Provide advanced Windows desktop and server support
Administer and troubleshoot Office 365
Assess a variety of escalated client issues and resolve in a timely manner
Assist and mentor Tier I support staff
Provision and troubleshoot VPN and other remote access solutions
Document activities, steps to resolution and process improvements
Qualifications
4-year college degree (IT relevance preferred)
3-5 years IT support experience
1-3 years Windows Server experience
Proven competency in IP network switches, routers, firewalls
Other helpful experience: ConnectWise, Cisco, Meraki, and/or SonicWALL products
Certifications
Systems Engineers must possess three or more of the following industry certifications:
CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, or Security+
Microsoft MD-100, MS-100, MS-101, or AZ-104
AWS Cloud Practitioner
ITIL 4 Foundation
Ideally, certifications should have been completed within the last 5 years / 1 within the last 2 years. Proof of certifications required. Have plenty of industry certifications, but not these specific ones? Go ahead and apply! Rocket IT supports an office-centric hybrid model that promotes teamwork and fosters strong relationships between team members. Full-time team members are required to be in our Suwanee office at least 3 days per week and are able to work remotely the other 2 days. Some exceptions may apply.
