Technical Writer/Editor

Tyto Athene is searching for a Technical Writer/Editor at Wright Patterson AFB.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the clarity, accuracy, and consistency of technical intelligence products.
• Reviewing and revising content for grammar, style, and terminology, as well as verifying technical information for accuracy.
• Collaborate with authors, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to enhance document structure and readability, meeting the needs of intended audiences.
• Format documents according to established style guides, manage document versions, and uphold documentation standards across projects.
• Ensure compliance with Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) 203-209 to maintain consistency, security, and quality in intelligence products.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years in technical writing or related field.
• Strong writing and editing abilities with keen attention to detail. Proficient in Adobe Desktop Publishing products, Microsoft Word, or similar tools.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise content.
• Familiarity with CMS and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent organizational, project management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Knowledge: Understanding of technical concepts and terminology related to strategic and technical intelligence for the space and counter-space mission sets.
• Experience in conforming to NASIC/NSIC and IC production standards.

Clearance:

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance and U.S. Citizenship required

• Wright Patterson AFB, no telework option is available
