Job Summary

This position will carry out biochemical assays to study a protein’s function, which may include the protein purification and characterization using a variety of techniques.

Education, Experience, or Certifications:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required.

Experience

  • Experience in developing and evaluating new experimental methods required.
  • Knowledge of standard research techniques relevant to developmental biology, microscopy, and computational data analysis required.
  • Skill with confocal and light-sheet microscopy required.
  • Knowledge of coding in MATLAB or python required.
  • Experience using ImageJ for image analysis required.
  • Quantitative reasoning and proficiency with mathematics required.
  • Ability to perform manipulations of embryos required.

Technical Knowledge Or Skills

  • Ability to prepare reagents.
  • Perform experiments.
  • Maintaining lab equipment.
  • Data Analysis and organization.
