CDMO: The Corporate Digital and Marketing Office mission is to put the consumer at the heart of L’Oréal’s business and drive digital innovation. As a force for L’Oréal’s innovation, CDMO delivers the best consumer experiences, drives new marketing models, and spearheads new digital capabilities to futureproof the group’s business. 

The VP of Media will play a key role in overseeing the ongoing development and integration of media teams in L’Oréal USA, helping to build community and connection with both internal team members, agency, team, members, and division team members.

As a critical driver of the collaboration and standardization efforts led by the CDMO to leverage the L’Oreal USA scale, the VP of Media will ensure consistency across media buying processes by identifying opportunities for all divisions and brands to be first-to-market with innovative products and channels. We are seeking a leader that will leverage data and audience insights to inform modern media activation

What You Will Do

  • Develop and lead L’Oreal USA Media Center of Excellence across investment strategy and new frontiers (ex. Retail Media).
  • Evolve L’Oréal USA’s leading media operating model and methodology, in partnership with Divisions, finance and external partners.  
  • Conduct ongoing enhancements and improvements in media ecosystem, leverage trend analysis, tracking, and other reporting across content type and channel (site traffic, social networks, earned media, etc.) to ensure MROI is maximized, and resources are optimized accordingly.
  • Uplevel our digital ecosystem, using customer insights, test and learn scenarios, data, and segmentation to ensure full funnel ownership across paid/owned/earned channels to drive optimised and meaningful customer acquisition and revenue generation.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and strategic partners conceiving, building, and implementing integrated media strategies and campaigns to strengthen L’Oréal’s brand position, achieve portfolio growth targets, ensure media delivery on strategic goals in DE&I, sustainability and support of media for the future initiatives.
  • Continue to build learnings and scale best practices across all business stakeholders (including internal, external, and global parties).

Required Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

  • 10+ years of experience in media strategy, performance marketing, integrated marketing, audience data strategy or other data-driven media disciplines. This may include in-house and/or agency experience.
  • An entrepreneurial and action-oriented business leader with high levels of energy, integrity, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills who can inspire movement beyond the status quo. 
  • Inspiring executive presence, including exceptional written and verbal presentation skills.   
  • Ability to manage multiple teams of specialists across disciplines and collaborate closely with a senior-level leadership. A track record of high performance and ability to drive real business outcomes while transforming current internal standards and developing new ways-of-working.  
  • In-house experience within complex organization(s), leading internal and external partners including global media agencies. Ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations and create consensus with senior decision makers.
  • Experienced in managing large-scale media budgets globally including planning, activation/buying, and ROI analysis. Excels at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously within tight deadlines. Proven ability to take initiative, influence others, and achieve results despite ambiguity. Strong analytical, problem solving and planning skills.
  • Experience in data-driven disciplines such as Performance Marketing and Audience & Data Strategy and/or managing CRM strategy and activation, including consumer data capture and consumer journey orchestration are a plus.
