The Vice President of Commercial Project Management will be responsible for overseeing and leading the commercial project management team, ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of commercial projects. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in project management, exceptional organizational and leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement the commercial project management strategy in alignment with the company’s goals and objectives.
Lead and mentor the project management team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Project Planning and Execution:
Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of commercial projects, ensuring they meet the defined scope, quality, timeline, and budget.
Implement best practices and standardized processes for project management to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Facilitate clear and effective communication among all project stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with commercial projects.
Develop contingency plans and manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
Financial Oversight:
Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
Monitor project financial performance, providing regular reports to senior management.
Performance Management:
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and team performance.
Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and implementing development plans for team members.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
Implement quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of project delivery.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing commercial projects.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial projects from inception to completion.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and software.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets.
PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification preferred.
