Warehouse Manager
Job Description
- Lead and develop a team handling diverse warehouse operations, including interviewing, training, and evaluating staff, and managing schedules.
- Oversee employee timekeeping and manage payroll documentation.
- Drive the continuous improvement of staff efficiencies and operational workflow to meet customer demands.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Manage carrier routings to achieve 100% compliance with routing guides.
- Establish and monitor key operational metrics, reporting on warehouse efficiency per customer.
- Handle the customer returns process and manage warehouse vendor relations, including negotiations and overseeing contracts for supplies and services.
- Perform monthly P&L reviews to manage costs and boost revenue.
- Champion the use of the Quality Management System (QMS) to enhance service offerings and secure new contracts.
- Develop and oversee warehouse processes and safety protocols, including CAPA investigations.
- Manage the upkeep and maintenance of the warehouse to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure all staff are adequately trained in their roles, including safety and operational procedures, to comply with OSHA, ISO, Hazmat, and other regulatory standards.
- Actively participate in management meetings, providing insightful reports on operational status and strategies.
- 4 - 6 years of medical products or medical equipment/ medical warehouse environment experience
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Experience with ISO regulatory requirements is a plus.
- Understanding of industry Hazmat rules and procedures related to warehouse operations is beneficial.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in creating and analyzing reports in Excel.
- 3-5 years of experience in operating both powered and manual material handling equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.
