- So, as wonderful as the potential for data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and robotics in healthcare is, it turns out that in many ways, we're still stuck in the toying around phase. To give you an idea of why I say that, here's some data shared by the Brookings Institute in their 2022 report, "Why is AI adoption in healthcare lagging?" It's an important report and it forms the basis of this video. This chart right here is based on an analysis they reported of jobs posted between 2015 and 2018 on over 40,000 online job boards and company websites, where they were specifically looking for jobs that mentioned they required AI skills. And what you see, of course, is that IT, information technology, was the highest, and professional, scientific, and technical, not too far behind, and finance and insurance was number three.
