Gen Z is reshaping the sports landscape and here's how - 🏅 Big fan channels and online communities are gaining popularity. Growing up in the age of social media, Gen Z fans demand engaging community, driven content in real time. 🏅 Personalized and immersive experiences are highly valued. 🏅 High demand for short-form content that can be consumed on the go. Clips, highlights and recaps reign supreme. 🏅  There is increasing interest in Esports, extreme sports and athletics. 🏅 Gen Z support brands that reflect their personal values. They expect organizations, athletes and teams to take stand on social issues, and promote equality, inclusivity and diversity. Catering to the new fan experience is the key factor in ensuring long-term success. Sports tech investors must assess how new technology fulfills these needs prior to investing if they are to be successful. #GenZ #Sports #Fans #Technology

Some good points here. I’d add that sports tech investors need to fully consider the symbiotic relationship needed between product+content+data …. If you only understand or cater for one, then you’re going to miss something vitally important.. I’ve been at the intersection of this conundrum for over a decade.. and I’ve seen many, many people make the mistake of only doing one, and it always ends in pain..
