Are we going to talk about how Sports Illustrated told their entire staff that they are getting laid off on Friday??😅 Sports Illustrated is owned by Authentic Brands Group (ABG) The Arena Group (AG) was licensing the Sports Illustrated brand in order to publish it AG has missed a total of almost $4 million in payments that are owed to ABG ABG has revoked the licensing rights from AG for breaching their contract (not paying their bills) ABG says they are going to continue to operate Sports Illustrated. Sounds like they will just find a new publisher. Sports Illustrated is not the only sports journalism company that has done layoffs recently Journalism is changing! The audience now has thousands of platforms to get their information from. Sports Illustrated is an iconic brand, but I’m wondering if their lack of innovation in sports journalism is playing a role in their current downfall?? 🤔

Getting outside of your comfort zone is really important Last week I was tasked with creating an edit for the series "voles verdict" as apart of an interview process for Williams Racing 💙 This show serves as a window into the team's emotions post-race, allowing them to engage directly with fans The challenge? Transforming a potentially negative moment for the team into a beacon of positivity for its supporters. Initially, I felt the weight of this responsibility like never before: when I got the opportunity I immediately felt - a ton of pressure 😅 - like maybe the challenge was too big 😲 - that I didn't have all the answers 🤔 but what I realised after going through this process was 🔵 how much my skills had grown in editing over the last few months 🔵 how I was now able to visualise the types of content I wanted to create (in the past this would have been an impossible back and forth) 🔵 my understanding for content had improved and I was now able to feel more confident in telling stories Ultimately I think pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone is truly the only was we can test how capable we really are. it was amazing for me to go through this process and end up gaining more self confidence and belief in myself as a result #contentcreation #SocialMedia #FormulaOne #Racingcontent #VideoEditing
