Motivational Monday: Going the Extra Mile Where Your Job Doesn't Require You To
In every job or role we take on, there are often expectations and responsibilities clearly defined by our job descriptions. However, the true mark of success and fulfillment often lies beyond these boundaries. Going the extra mile, even when it's not required, can lead to personal growth, satisfaction, and recognition. Contributing to a Greater Cause: Sometimes, going the extra mile isn't about personal gain but about contributing to a greater cause. It could be about helping your community, making a positive impact, or supporting a cause you believe in.
Remember, going the extra mile is a personal choice. It doesn’t mean overextending yourself or neglecting your well-being. It’s about finding a balance and using your discretionary effort to make a positive difference. So, this Monday, and every day, consider the opportunities to go beyond the norm and make your mark.
As you set out into the week, consider what extra you can bring to your role, team, or community. By doing so, you not only enrich your own experience but also contribute to the success and growth of those around you.

Lighting ceremony is an auspicious occasion in every nurse's life with reverence to Florence Nightingale. Nursing is the only profession that follows lamp lighting ceremonies. Here light not only symbolizes knowledge which removes ignorance and is a lasting wealth by which lots could be achieved but it also signifies the enlightenment, experience, hope, love, comfort, and positivity _ driving away from the negativity that darkens everything.

Something I do not talk enough about is how I consider Papa to be a robust benefit.
Through the same partnership, we address different needs that can directly impact a person’s access to health resources. Whether is transportation to and from the doctors, picking your medication, taking you to the grocery store, or even staying at home to clean and rearrange furniture.
Think of what would happen if you could not keep your house clean, if you had no one to take you to an appointment, or if you had to survive with limited food in your pantry and worry it will run out before the end of the month.
At Papa, we add a trusted human that genuinely wants to see you be the best version of yourself! When you have what you need to be and stay healthy, you thrive.

Soft skills can enable nurse aides to interact effectively, perform tasks efficiently, and navigate various situations. To name a few, they must possess empathy, effective communication, and active listening.

In this month's Reflections column, an NP remembers how compassion kept her hope alive, "I learned from that school nurse that it only takes being present and a simple act of compassion for someone to change the course of another person's life."
