🛒 There's been controversy over loyalty member-only prices at supermarkets, with Which? claiming they are misleading and "potentially dodgy", and concerns that the promotions discriminate against non-members 💳 With a reported 20 million Clubcard holders and 18 million Nectar members, these promotions are more about reminding shoppers to swipe their card or scan their phone, as I told Lilith Foster-Collins for this week's The Grocer (read her article here: https://lnkd.in/e975PYZB) ✂ And, while customers are providing valuable data to supermarkets in the process, the Grocer found that they are rewarded with the average basket savings of 5.4% at Tesco and 6.5% at Sainsbury's.
