Do you struggle to make difficult decisions at times? #Entrepreneurship and owning a business involves intentionally putting yourself in uncomfortable situations and difficult decisions. Leadership members in entrepreneurial companies can feel the exact same way. After all of the days, months, and years of making difficult decisions, one can suffer from decision fatigue - the mental exhaustion of having to make both a high volume of high-level decisions, but also the complexity of them when they affect your team. I spoke about this in a rare solo episode of my #podcast this week. Have a listen if you are feeling some decision fatigue recently. 👇

🌟 I recently posted about the highlights from TechCon SoCal 2024, but I just came across a write-up from our NuFund Venture Group member and host of our new podcast, Founders' Journey (link: https://lnkd.in/gxiSU77z) , Guy Reams. --- Guy has a remarkable commitment to writing every day for 365 days. His posts not only inspire but also make you think. I'm a fan. 📖✨ Guy shared insights from his interviews with some of the keynote speakers at TechCon. A standout theme was the idea that to accomplish extraordinary things in life, you can't follow the standard path. He observed that none of the successful individuals he interviewed were "normal" or average. Instead, they were audacious and unpredictable. To achieve greatness, one must be willing to deviate from the norm. 🛤️This is a critical lesson for early-stage founders. The path to success is rarely linear. It requires embracing uncertainty and relentlessly pursuing your passion, even when others predict failure. The willingness to do the unpredictable and accept risk is what sets apart those who achieve greatness from those who remain average.🌟 In the words of Guy Reams, 💡"Take the chance when you can because so rarely do you have the opportunity." 💡 #TechConSocal #Leadership #startupfounder https://lnkd.in/gTFKxmwV

What I said six years ago, he's so OUTDATED! This one thing in 2023 makes more sense… Let me explain: I remember 6 years ago telling my good friend Hugo Prince on his podcast that having a website was the most important and the only thing you needed to succeed online. In 2023 and forward, having a website is a common trend. We need to be on the right platform when your ideal customer, or visitor, is searching. For me, automation is the solution, building a content strategy with a calendar on when and where to post each day. In the comment, let me know what strategy you're using to stay in front of your visitors, on time and every time. https://lnkd.in/ePz2QETg

Another well researched article showing the power of ‘psychological safety’ as one of the defining drivers in creating great teams. I do like the thought of moving it on though as ‘psychological safety’ is something you can garner but then how do you use it? For that I think Brené Brown said it best in her Dare to lead podcasts - should we be looking to create ‘Brave spaces’ where psychological safety is a founding element? https://lnkd.in/ehVTR3iY
