How did we manage to increase revenue? By introducing a pricing committee. Before we had a pricing committee, we had ad-hoc pricing changes - if at all. The consequences were: - a messy process - unhappy customers - limited revenue opportunity This could not go on. So we launched a pricing committee. And d*mn, this was the most important revenue boost we had. With most of our clients we work on setting up a pricing committee. With success. How to do it? Well, for this guide, I teamed up with Laurent-David Hostyn. One pricing model I will NEVER understand is the "minimum X seats" to access a certain package/feature. There have been so many times where I would have happily upgraded to the next tier package, but because of that barrier of minimum users, I end up moving to another vendor. From a buyer's perspective, this puts so much friction on a simple upgrade and also leaves a bad taste, knowing that I am spending money on extra licenses. In instances where I've taken the plunge and paid for extra licenses, it's often resulted in me completely churning off. With SaaS becoming more competitive and team sizes getting smaller, is this an outdated model or am I missing something?
