Passionate about removing the risk & cost of bad hires for organisations; acting as a true partner to understand your Recruitment problems, providing solutions with integrity and authenticity.
This Director Of People TRANSFORMED employee engagement. Only to find out that his CEO was TOXIC. And didn’t care about HR at all. When this DOP was headhunted, the Recruiter pitched a company that: > Had a people-first culture. > Was growing rapidly but sustainably. > Wanted to implement market-leading retention and engagement initiatives. So he took the job. In just a few months, he exploded talent attraction. Retention figures improved, and employee turnover decreased significantly. Statistically speaking, staff were far more engaged, happy, and content. But then things started to change… The company lost some big contracts, and budgets were sliced. The CEO saw HR as a cost, so he cut their headcount. The DOP was expected to deliver the same results with less money and less staff. And shock, he quickly became burnt out. He also caught wind of the CEO mocking the wellbeing and EDI initiatives he’d put in place. Now, he’s on the verge of resigning. And his CEO is on the verge of losing a fantastic DOP, not to mention the fallout that will follow when he leaves. HR Leaders... make sure you explore the Founder's or CEO's beliefs before joining a company. And CEOs... don't undervalue or underestimate HR. They do FAR more than save you from tribunals. #hr #humanresources #recruitment #talent StormX Recruitment - Accountancy & Finance/HR/ Office Support Specialist Recruiters

💼 Hidden Costs in HR: Are Your Hiring Practices Eating Away at Your Profits? In the quest to build the perfect team, many companies focus on the obvious costs—salaries, benefits, training—but often overlook the hidden expenses that can quietly erode profits. 🔍 Let’s dive into some of these lesser-known cost factors: High Turnover Rates: Every time an employee leaves, the costs of recruiting, onboarding, and training a replacement add up. But it doesn't stop there. The loss of institutional knowledge and the temporary dip in productivity can significantly impact your bottom line. Mismatched Hires: Hiring the wrong person for the job not only affects team morale but also leads to lower productivity and potential errors. The financial implications of poor performance, client dissatisfaction, and even legal risks are often underestimated. Extended Hiring Processes: While it’s important to find the right candidate, dragging out the hiring process can be costly. Vacant positions strain existing teams, leading to burnout and reduced efficiency. Additionally, prolonged vacancies can delay projects, leading to missed opportunities and lost revenue. Underinvestment in Onboarding: A robust onboarding process is key to setting new hires up for success. However, skimping on this crucial phase can lead to prolonged adjustment periods, reduced employee engagement, and a higher likelihood of turnover. 🛠 What can you do? Evaluate your hiring process: Identify areas where you might be overspending or where inefficiencies are costing you more than you realize. Invest in the right tools and training: Equip your HR team with the resources they need to attract, assess, and onboard the best talent efficiently. Focus on retention: A strong company culture, opportunities for growth, and employee engagement are your best defenses against high turnover. By identifying and addressing these hidden costs, you can transform your HR practices from a potential profit drain into a strategic asset. Are you ready to make your HR processes work for your business instead of against it? Let’s connect and explore how optimizing HR can lead to a more profitable future. 🚀 #HR #Hiring #BusinessOptimization #Profitability #HumanResources

Build, defend, and translate: The importance of the Human Resources Business Partner role in the corporate world. In a corporate world where strategies change rapidly and talent is the most valuable asset, HRBP is the essential bridge between business goals and human potential. Why is that? Because beyond management, we are the architects of thriving work cultures, the advocates of employee well-being, and the translators of complex strategies into human actions. In summary, the HRBP role is: 🤝 The link between strategy and talent: The HRBP is not only responsible for operational processes, but is also a strategic partner. The HRBP aligns the needs of the business with the capabilities of its people, ensuring that the right talent is in the right roles to achieve the organization's goals. 💡Culture Promoters: As change agents, HRBPs play a critical role in defining and promoting organizational culture. They are champions of employee well-being and development, creating an environment where people can be their best. 🧠 Development and Retention: The HRBP identifies areas for improvement and develops training and development programs for employees. This function is critical to retaining key talent and ensuring that the company has the skills needed to meet future challenges. 🗣 Bi-directional communication channel: As an intermediary, HRBPs ensure that the voice of the employee is heard by facilitating communication between management and the rank and file of the team. This feedback is essential for continuous improvement. 🌍 Global vision: In multinational companies, HRBPs have the difficult task of understanding and reconciling cultural and operational differences across geographies, ensuring cohesion and harmony throughout the organization. In short, the HRBP is not just a resource for managing administrative issues; is a strategic partner who is essential for connecting business needs with human potential. In this era of rapid change and intense competition, organizations that understand and value the role of the HRBP are better positioned to succeed. Employee Experience Advocate | People & Culture Strategic Advisor | Employee Listening & Engagement Champion
"HR isn't your friend." "Don't trust HR." "HR is only looking out for the business." These phrases have been buzzing all over LinkedIn and Social Media, and it’s so detrimental to the employee experience. Perpetuating this idea that all HR is bad or that you shouldn’t go to HR for help, is bad advice. Certainly not every HR professional is good actor, but you could say the same for any profession. HR is an exhausting, emotionally draining, challenging job. Most of the people I know in this field are here because we care about the employees we support, and building relationships and helping people through their career brings us an immense amount of joy. “HR’s job is to protect the business”. Sure, that’s part of it. But what would the business be without the people. That’s the mindset so many HR leaders have. They can be a wealth of resources, provide excellent coaching and advice on dealing with difficult situations, and can be your advocate when a raise or promotion is on the table. I do what I do because people spend so much of their time at work, that if I can make that time even a little better, I feel fulfilled. I’ve had the good fortune of working with some amazing leaders, managers, and individual contributors in my time in HR. They’re the reason I still do this job. And for those HR professionals that don’t see the value in taking care of the employees at their organization, I say find a new role. -- Hi, I'm Hannah! I have over a decade of People/HR experience in tech start-ups and have navigated 2 organizations through M&A, and more through M&A integrations. Follow me for all things impacting employee engagement & employee experience. Happy, engaged employees are good for business. . . . #Leadership #Management #HR #EmployeeEngagement #EmployeeExperience #HappyAtWork #OrganizationalCulture #PeopleOps #PeopleAndCulture #EngagedEmployees #HumanResources

Strategic HR, People and Operations Leader | Attorney | Driving Organizational Success and Employee Engagement
HR inherently has to react. Things happen that are sometimes out of the realm of control and complete unexepected. But, proactive, strategic planning can help HR better react with precision. ❌ Two employees who had a great relationship are battling it out daily. 💡 Remember that interpersonal communications toolkit you put together? Grab it now! ❌ A top performer is feeling dissatisfied with their job. 💡 Walk through your company's career map with them to plan a path forward ❌ An employee is returning from an extended leave during an incredibly busy period 💡 Sit down with their manager a few weeks before their return to plan a re-onboarding experience In the moment each of these can feel daunting. But, when you spend proactively planning and strategizing on the front end, reacting becomes less of disruption to day-to-day work and solutions better meet the needs of everyone involved. #hr #proactivehr #strategichr #peopleoperations #peopleops #peopleandculture #humanresources
