📺 Axios co-founder and CEO Jim VandeHei was on MSNBC’s Morning Joe to talk about America’s shifting media landscape. America is splintering into more than a dozen news bubbles based on ideology, wealth, jobs, age and location. This means where you get your news, the voices you trust, and even the topics and cultural figures you follow could be wholly different from the person sitting next to you. So instead of Red America and Blue America, we’ll have a dozen or more Americas — and realities. This will make understanding public opinion, and finding common agreement, even more complex and elusive. 🎥: MSNBC

I was just talking about this - I’ve had conversations where I literally could not explain issues to - some people are so deep in their algorithm bubble information does not get in anymore - it’s as if they live in an artificial reality created for and by them.

As we have seen over our lifetimes, the truth eventually makes its way to the surface. Regardless of the source, no matter how trusted, you should try to see both sides of any debate. There are often some truths differing aspects of a news “story”.

Folks would rather comfortable lies than emotionally inconvenient truth. This is the biggest national security crisis not being discussed. #CognitiveBias
