Every day, I strive to make IPC easy for engineers so they can focus on the unique needs of their service. From (not-always) simple HTTP calls, to high performance gRPC, Netflix's engineers need messaging which is easy to observe, hard to break, and gracefully handles load. Why work on a million-RPS service when you can build the foundation for all of them? If this sounds interesting to you, join my team. Please apply via the link, I will not review resumes via DM.

I subscribed to Netflix in January, 2008. My college roommates and I had exhausted our new-member promotions at the local video store, so I turned to a four DVD plan to keep us entertained while we did our homework. 13 years later, Netflix subscribed to me. Since joining, I've watched my work support the launch of mobile games and live events. Today, we say farewell to DVDs, but continue in our mission to entertain the world.

Of all of the companies that I have interviewed with, I found the ones with Netflix to be the most natural. I got to meet some stunning engineers and leaders, talk about the problems we face in Platform/Productivity Engineering, and share my philosophy about improving the developer experience. When the offer came, joining the dream team was the clear choice. Two years ago, I was a candidate. Today, I help find future colleagues.

We are building an Engineering Support Organization! This new organization will help us ensure our engineers are able to focus on entertaining the world instead of struggling with their tools. We continue to invest in our developer experience as a product that we provide to our engineers - which I believe is critical to our success.
