Hey, Netflix fam, Ever wondered what happens when a programmer gets bored? 😉 Stumbled upon this hidden gem on the Netflix website today - a webpage that simply says "Hello, World!" 🤔 Is this an easter egg, a test page, or a glimpse into the minds of Netflix's engineers? 😜 Either way, it's a fun little find that made me smile. Keep up the good work, Netflix! And if there are any hidden features hiding in plain sight, we wouldn't mind finding more! 😉 Either way, it's got me curious. What other Netflix secrets are out there? Let's crack the code together! #netflix #helloworld #webdev #backenddevelopers #developers

Netflix has mediocre shows but amazing engineering. The best part is they write great tech blogs to let us know about how the think about various aspects of software engineering. In a blog, they talk about how they think about deploying services and the platform they built for building and running services. This is not just plain old microservices but "microservices + workflows + serverless functions. Using multiple components in the same service allows them to: - Further break down the concerns of a microservice into different component for different workloads. - Have the flexibility to scale each part of the service independently. - Separate compute intensive jobs and APIs into different components. I made a video on Netlfix Cosmos, the platform they use to run services. There is a lot to learn from them, do watch! #netlifx #microservices #systemdesign Video Link: https://lnkd.in/g89BF3aN

Netflix Test Studio (NTS) was created with the goal of creating a consistent way for internal and external developers to deploy and execute tests. This is achieved by abstracting device differences. NTS also provides a standard set of tools for assessing the responsiveness and quality of the overall experience. NTS now runs over 40,000 long-running tests each day on over 600 devices around the world. https://lnkd.in/dgW69DMb #technology #testautomation #testing

Netflix is one of the top product-based companies and one among the FAANG! . . So why not clone its landing page? . . Greetings connection, I am excited to share my mini project with you all - a Netflix homepage clone. Even though it may not seem like a huge achievement, I strongly believe that every small step towards improvement counts. As we all know, getting better by 0.01% creates a huge impact on one's result : 1.01³⁶⁵ = 37.80 however 1.00³⁶⁵ = 1.00 Hence, getting better even by 0.01% will boost your productivity by 37x in just a year. So let's try to improve day by day get the best out of our potential. A huge thanks to Ashish Shukla sir for his excellent guidance and support. . . Now for your reference: Project link: https://lnkd.in/gpPfNJXB Source Code: https://lnkd.in/g8iFUW7H Thank you for reading this post. The best way to avoid failure is to fail constantly 🧗🏻♂️ 💡 Traditionally, testing and QA were performed at the end of the development cycle (right side), but the shift-left approach moves these activities to the earlier stages (left side). This helps identify and address issues sooner, leading to better software quality, faster delivery times, and reduced costs. 💰 Here's how this approach helped Netflix win back their customer's trust 🏆🤝 #engineering #qualityassuarance #softwaretesting #buildmomentum #shiftleftphilosophy #netflix

Senior Software Engineer | React, Nextjs, Python, Applied AI, Developer Relations, Technical Writing
I learnt today that the current CTO of Netflix, Elizabeth Stone has a background in Economics (Bsc + PhD in Economics). No engineering degree. No masters degree. No MBA. Once again, it goes to show flexible tech is as a sector. No matter where you come from, you can make a mark with your experience and results. One may argue that it's an anomaly. But what happens when there are too many anomalies? On a side note: The biggest question to ask our Indian coding community. Did it require to solve two Leetcode medium questions with production ready code in 60 minutes to become the CTO of Netflix?
