Hire Clinical Operations & PM Professionals in 30 Days (or Less) | Life Science Recruiter | Host of The Huxley Morton Podcast 🎙
Candidate: So what makes your client different from their competitors? Recruiter: Ah, if I had a dollar for every time someone asked me that! When you say different - do you mean their culture, their size, their focus? The money they offer? It’s a big question. Candidate: Well the salary is always going to be the biggest factor for me Recruiter: ..and I’m guessing even if they offered more flexibility and an environment that's more fun but were paying less that would be the discussion over? Candidate: Well no, I wouldn’t say that. Remember you don’t have to answer every question. Especially when you don’t know the purpose or even what the candidate meant. Don’t fall into the trap of being one of those rambling recruiters (or hiring managers). Always clarify the purpose of any big picture, multiple-answer question. “Clarity precedes success.” #Recruitment #Qualification #Clarity

Sales/ Talent Director bridging gap between Finance & Tech | 26 years recruitment exp C-suite | 💙FinTech 💙| "Fractional" CleanTech capital raising | Battery & Hydrogen Storage Europe
I truly believe this to be true. For decades candidates looking for work have allowed the recruiters to position them below any client on the journey to employment. So much so, that they have come to accept the lack of transparency. It’s time for a change. It’s time for a level playing field. Ask, no demand transparency from your recruiter… It has become more apparent to me recently that the truth really hurts. But instead of accepting the truth, it is easier to play the “victim” and call the instigator of the truth out. It’s time for change! It’s time to respect the candidate journey. As recruiters we must do better! #recruitmentagency #noonelikeshonesty #thehonestrecruiter

One of our clients bluntly told us that he felt skeptical about using a recruitment service. He had heard things before and wasn't convinced it would help him find the right person for his team. Then he met Burach Goldklang, one of our expert recruiters. Burach listened and told him, "We're different. We care about finding the right match." It wasn't just talk. He meant every word. Fast forward, we found him a candidate — but not just any candidate; he was the perfect fit for what our client needed. The takeaway? Quality recruitment services can make a real difference. CEO @ exaqueo | workforce research, employer brand, talent strategy, candidate and employee experience, CHRO/CMO advisor | Pioneer of the Employer Brand Relationship (EBR) | Working mom, female founder | Do good be kind
Why do employers ignore the candidate experience? It's a question that's been asked for decades. And while meaningful progress has been made (just ask The Talent Board's Kevin W. Grossman, who runs The CandEs), candidates are still miserably searching for job. I shared my take this weekend with Sabri Ben-Achour on NPR's Marketplace. One thing is clear: employers who step up and make an effort to have a meaningful candidate experience, who don't rest on their brand, or the desperation of job seekers to fill their candidate pipelines will have a distinct edge. #candidateexperience #jobseekers #jobsearch #recruiting

Excellent advice on the job markets. When times are good, try to network with potential employers reaching out to you. Add them on your Linkedin and have a call with the recruiter to get to know them. I usually refer someone in my network who is currently looking for a job that way you are happy, the person you helped gets an opportunity and the recruiter met two high potential candidates ( you and the person you referred). #growthmindset #opportunity #networking #jobmarkets #multiplier
When the job market was booming post Covid, I advised candidates to treat their potential employers with care - no ghosting, no playing off multiple offers, no pulling out of roles at the last minute. Why? Because what goes around, comes around. Today, the market has cooled and I find myself giving the same advice to clients - don't lowball candidates, don't string them along, and don't let your candidate experience go down the drain by giving roles to multiple agencies. Remember, the pendulum will always swing back the other way. Treat people with respect and build a strong reputation that will serve you well in the long run.

A race to the top: How competitive is your hiring process? In today's cut-throat job market, employers' recruitment strategies are being put to the test. Competition isn't just among job seekers, but among companies too. But how competitive is your hiring process really? Being in the recruiting business for several years, I've seen it all. Companies offering top-tier benefits, fast-track promotions and creative perks - all in a bid to attract and retain top talent. But here's a wake-up call, it's not always about extravagant offers. Ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process can speak volumes about your company culture and values. Providing feedback promptly, respecting candidates' time, and fostering communication can set you apart from competition. Remember, job seekers aren't just looking for a paycheck - they're seeking an environment where they can thrive professionally and personally. So make sure your recruitment process mirrors the respect and care you have towards your employees. As we navigate through this new normal, let's strive to create a hiring process that doesn't just attract candidates but also creates a gold standard for others to follow. After all, we're all in this race together.
