Candidate: Well no, I wouldn’t say that. Remember you don’t have to answer every question. Especially when you don’t know the purpose or even what the candidate meant. Don’t fall into the trap of being one of those rambling recruiters (or hiring managers). I truly believe this to be true. For decades candidates looking for work have allowed the recruiters to position them below any client on the journey to employment. So much so, that they have come to accept the lack of transparency. It’s time for a change. It’s time for a level playing field. Add them on your Linkedin and have a call with the recruiter to get to know them.
