Day 59 into 2024, and the theme of intention continues to guide our steps at CultureLancer. This week, the concept of intentionality didn't just hover in the background; it took center stage, shaping our actions and decisions.
In this journey of entrepreneurship and personal growth, I've delved deep into contemplating how I wish to present myself, both as a founder and as an individual. At my core, I'm propelled by a desire to assist others in finding their purpose, advocating for a life rich in gratitude and intention. The challenges and focal points that this phase of life has introduced were unexpected, yet my foundational purpose remains unaltered. I'm committed to embracing this purpose fully, aiming to impact lives and generations with intention and fidelity.
This past week was a testament to laying the groundwork for meaningful impact:
-We initiated foundational collaborations aimed at creating long-lasting partnerships and generating impact.
-Engaged in the vetting of new student talent, ensuring that the future of our workforce is bright and promising.
-Dove into designing pilots that are set to redefine our approach, all while gearing up for the launch of our new platform. Details are on the horizon, but the ethos of intention is at its core.
-Stepped up for loved ones in their moments of need, embodying the very essence of showing up intentionally.
-Organized and planned impactful workshops for our SMB users, aligning with our mission to equip them for success.
-Conducted product meetings as we navigate through this pivotal phase, ensuring every step we take is purposeful.
-Participated in a dynamic forum discussion on workforce skills and development, contributing to a narrative that values growth and learning.
-Finalized the requirements for the Women-Owned Business Certification, paving the way for new opportunities and recognitions.
Amidst all these, nursing myself and playing nurse to my spouse battling the flu was perhaps the most humanizing aspect of my week. It’s a gentle reminder that behind every founder's journey lies the simple, yet profound, acts of care and love.

Until I stumbled upon the 20 Days LinkedIn challenge with Haoma Worgwu then I thought to give it another try. The beginning of a new year seemed like a good time to start, and since it was also my birth month, I decided to join The New Year Rebranding Cohort 17
In just 20 days, I achieved a level of success that I have struggled with since my journey began in 2021. The 20 Days LinkedIn Challenge not only boosted my visibility on this platform but also provided a supportive community of like-minded professionals traveling a similar path.
Within this community, we supported each other and held ourselves accountable, fostering meaningful connections and expanding our knowledge through engaging content and interactions.
Although this journey wasn't without its challenges. There were times when I had to stay up into the mornings or wake up an hour earlier. However, as time passed, it became easier to manage. Having an accountability partner to answer to and being part of a dedicated accountability group played a significant role in keeping me on track.
I am immensely grateful to my Accountability Group 7 and the vibrant Main Group C; your camaraderie made the journey of consistency both enjoyable and rewarding. 🥂
To my incredible accountability partner, Jumai Alli thank you for your unwavering support, even amidst your busy schedule. Your dedication transcended our assigned roles, evolving into a friendship that I have come to appreciate.

It's our Birthday!
Today, SOCIALDEVIANT turns 12.
12 years ago, I had an idea to create the world's kindest company.
A company based on the simple idea, that a modern agency could re-imagine what a creative agency could be.
A creative agency that puts people first - both talent and clients.
A creative agency that parks the ego, and strives to produce amazing content on time, and on budget.
A creative agency that collaborates freely, assumes positive intent, and replaces side-eyes with small gestures of kindness on the regular.
A place that gives credit where credit is due. A place where we all succeed, or fail, together.
I've always felt that, that creative agencies are very fragile things indeed.
And I wanted to test the theory, that maybe a modern creative agency could be a little less fragile, a little more resilient, a little more urgent, a lot more fast, and a lot less frantic.
At SOCIALDEVIANT, we have 3 main obsessions:
1. Deviants, Rule. We over-invest in our talent. We've eliminated performance reviews and have replaced them with Talent Acceleration Plans. We have unlimited PTO. We are entirely virtual. We trust each other, and focus on making great work every single day.
2. Cilents, Rule. I can't stand the agency trope that goes like this: "this would be a great place, if it weren't for the clients." UGH. We only exist thanks to the good graces of our clients. They are smart, kind, talented, and demand the best of us. As it should be. We are commercial artists, and feel honored to work for the amazing brands we partner with.
3. You, Rule. If I've learned one thing, it's that starting a business from scratch, and maintaining that business over time, is really, really hard. It does indeed take a village - thank YOU, to each and every one of you in our extended network, who have supported us through thick and thin.
Today, 12 years on, our work has never been better. Our content at scale, has never been better. Our clients are amazing. Our teams collaborate with care and urgency. We double down on kindness, intention and transparency.
I'm excited about the next 12 years (um, give or take).
