ByteDance is known to be a very data-driven company that engineers the “factors of production”, including employees and systems, to maximise efficiency. Such shakeoffs and restructurings in its China operations happen fairly frequently (e.g. they shut their entire gaming businesses at the end of last year). How much this culture can be adapted effectively into an Indonesian work environment is interesting to observe.

As I sit down to pen this post, I find myself reflecting on the journey of the past few years— about half a decade of #growth, #learning, and shared experiences within an organisation that I have watched evolve from its infancy. #Change is inevitable, and it often brings with it both challenges and opportunities. Recently, I've found myself facing a unique set of circumstances that have made me pause and reconsider my professional path. It's disheartening to acknowledge that sometimes, despite our dedication and hard work, we can become unwitting participants in the dynamics of office politics. The disparity between what a #company preaches and what it practices can be quite revealing. I've had the privilege of working with a talented and inspiring group of colleagues, and for that, I am truly grateful. However, as I navigate this period of transition, I can't help but reflect on the disappointment I've faced in my current organisation. Having dedicated years to a organisation, you hope for a more #positive outcome. Its sad when you are confronted with the #challenges of office politics, #favouritism and #discrimination, experiences that you never anticipate when you embark on a journey. Life, as we know, has its own way of testing us. I find myself grappling with personal challenges, including upcoming milestones in my personal life. In the midst of these complexities, I've also been #navigating the uncertainty of my career and an unfortunate lack of responsiveness when seeking clarity on the matter. Change can be both daunting and liberating, and I believe that every experience— positive or otherwise— offers us a chance to #learn, #grow, and #evolve. As I embark on this new chapter of my professional journey, I am committed to staying true to my values and seeking opportunities that align with my aspirations. I'm sharing this update not to seek sympathy, but as a reminder that challenges are a part of life, and it's how we face them that truly matters. Thank you to all those who have been a part of my journey so far, and I look forward to what the future holds. 🌱✨ ByteDance #ProfessionalJourney #NewBeginnings #Reflections #SeekTruth #Bytestyles #ByteDance

Two years ago today, I made a brave decision to leave my comfortable job at Concentrix and join ByteDance. And I must say, it was worth it! ByteDance is a wonderful company to work for. The policies are great, the pay is nice, and there are many other good elements that make it a good company. To those who have received a job offer from ByteDance, this post is my review. I highly recommend joining this company if you're looking for a positive and fulfilling work experience. ByteDance is a great company to work for, and I am confident that you will enjoy working here as much as I did. I am currently looking for another job, but not necessarily at another company. The reason I am looking for another job is because I wish to improve my skills in another field. In case I receive a job offer from another company, deep down I wish the new company offers the same culture and benefits I had in ByteDance. #ByteDance #JobReview #GreatCompany #WorkExperience
