SEO is dead? Google just introduced the new ''Google Search'' with Generative AI. Is this a good or bad thing, lets talk: The rules of search are being rewritten, and this will birth many new profit machine businesses for those that embrace SEO 2.0! SEO isn't dead! It's just evolving like everything else. Yes, Google search results will be completely filled with AI-generated content. But think of it as creating content that AI can't replace. Google says they'll still send traffic to valuable sources. Optimizing content for both humans and AI algorithms might become the new norm. Just like any tech, AI models can get things wrong. So not everything will be 100% accurate. AI can make a lot of stuff up. New Google Search features: AI Overviews - provide quick summaries of topics directly in search results, saving you time from piecing information together yourself. Adjustable AI Overviews: You'll soon be able to customize the complexity of the answer in AI Overviews, making it simpler or more detailed. Multi-Step Reasoning: Search will understand complex questions with multiple aspects, allowing you to ask everything in one go. Planning with Search: Search will help you plan things like meals and vacations. AI-Organized Results: Search will categorize results under unique headings based on AI, making it easier to explore different options for things like recipes or movies. Searching with Video: Ask questions about objects in videos you take. For instance, troubleshooting a record player malfunction. The future of search is wild. AI will play a bigger role for sure. Businesses that embrace SEO 2.0 and focus on providing real value to users will be the ones surfing this wave of change. As Google moves closer to a full rollout of Search Generative Experience (SGE), it might be time to adapt your overall content strategy. Once SGE is fully integrated in the main search experience, the AI generated answers will further push down the organic search results. And this will likely result in potential less clicks/traffic to your site. How do you prepare for this shift? Focus on creating “Deep Content” —> content created on topics that can’t be properly or easily answered by a robot. Content that you can add unique perspective, data, stories, expertise and experiences. No need to panic. Adapt! For further learning, I’ve plugged a link to Ahrefs explainer guide on Deep Content. #seo #sge #googlesge #ai
