Heroes do not permit silence to steal our children’s future, nor do they allow neglect to destroy the world we have borrowed from them. Heroes stand up for what’s right; they are not afraid of the front lines, the bigots, or the bullies. Heroes do not forget; they work to right the wrongs that divide and destroy our communities. Heroes seek to remedy injustice and suffering; they put people before politics, power, position, perks, popularity, or prestige. Heroes know there’s no room for hate; love is their answer. Stop giving to those who can’t receive! Sometimes no matter how much you give to someone, they want more. Sometimes no matter how many times you show up for someone, they want more. Sometimes no matter how much you tell them or prove that you care, they want more. And often that’s because they can’t give to themselves and they can’t validate themselves. So no matter what you do, it’s not enough or not recognised. Stop giving to those who can’t receive. Stop feeing guilty for their distorted truth. Stop feeding their insecurities and faulty stories. Move on. Turn a leaf. Create a new beginning and remind yourself who you are based on what you are telling yourself not what they say about you. Ultimately, send love to their spirit.
