In the recent hiring process for few open position at our company, I received an overwhelming response with 70+ applications. Surprisingly, ~60% of these applicants seem to be individuals who have unfortunately been laid off. For those applying, here are a few tips to enhance your chances: - Clearly articulate why you are the ideal fit for a role at "abc" company. - Emphasize the value you can bring to both the role and the company. - Showcase how your previous experiences and skill set align with this position. Note: Keep it short & simple (KISS). Putting in this extra effort will undoubtedly be recognized and valued. This will enable the hiring manager also to put an extra effort.

Apply to that job that you are not "qualified" for. It's not the most qualified candidates who get hired but the ones who are the most prepared. Those who show passion and enthusiasm and have a strong work ethic. Most of the candidates I've hired were not the "perfect" candidates but ended up being some of the best hires. ♻️ Repost if you agree

So I have to ask... am I the only one who checks out the company people joined ? I do it to check and see what other positions might be available. At least I know the company is hiring. If you do this please type "Yes I do" in the comment section.

Hello Friend it's open question that is one of my best friends hired in a company, hiring procedure was normal and his training started on July 7,2023 and on August 11,2023 some people from that company asked him to leave the training store because he was accepting to them not up to their expectations. There are experienced expert people, on LinkedIn please put your comments with your best of knowledge to help that victim.

Exactly! The challenge we the fresh graduates face in the Nigerian labour market is the limited access to opportunities due to the emphasis on experience and professionalism. It's a paradoxical situation: we need experience to secure a job, yet we need a job to gain experience. This dilemma impedes the younger generation's potential to take over and make meaningful contributions to the industry. In Nigeria, millions of graduates, like myself, are eager for an opportunity to contribute to the growth of the nation's economy, within any sector but we are always denied the opportunity whenever "the NO EXPERIENCE" springs up. Now, how may we acquire the requisite experience if employment opportunities are not extended? #NNPC #shell #ChevronNigeria #CBN #PTDF #Cardinalstone #StandardcharteredNigeria #GoogleNigeria #IBMNigeria #HR #recruiters

Do you agree? I created this post because I heard from many people who are having a hard time getting hired based on their experience. I remember how challenging it ws to start my career. More people need a chance to start. I hope more hiring managers consider this: Hiring Managers, People need to be hired to get experience. Asking for experience to get hired is not always necessary, if they can get the job done. - Rachel Mitchell ©

I really wish there can be a huge disrupt in the hiring process...Where there can be emphasis on who can get the job done than the so much emphasis on certificate and experience. After over 9years of in managerial, administrative and HRM roles...I have learnt that certificate does not equal skill, competence & character, neither does years of experience translate to quality output or input. I was given opportunities to serve in different capacity after high school, grew into aforementioned roles in an organization that saw my value which I offered with the utmost commitment and accomplished outstanding results. All the above with an NCE; do I seek the certificates or higher qualifications definitely but while I am on it, can we be given opportunity to serve and contribute while enjoying just remuneration? What do you think? Is there a better perspective? Or do you have a counsel for me?

I was speaking to a colleague this week about four positions he had posted about a month ago. He said all four positions were filled within five weeks of posting the role. That's right: posting the role, screening candidates, having a reasonable number of interviews, offering the right candidates, and gaining acceptances. Five weeks from start to finish for all four candidates. It made me think about recruiting practices as a competitive advantage. My own experience with Arrowhead Engineered Products started on October 8 and I accepted the offer by November 15. You can do the math...about five weeks! There are two open roles in my organization that were posted on February 1 and hopefully will not go beyond six weeks from posting to acceptance. If you or someone you know is looking for a new role, I recommend looking at the roles posted below. Some are onsite, some remote. There may not be a fit, but if there is, chances are your time in the recruitment cycle will be short!
