So I’ve had the pleasure of working both as a freelance and as a Full time UX Researcher and I wanted to highlight The Key Differences between the two: 1. Scope of Work: So as a Full-time UX researcher, I’ve had the opportunity to dive deeper into long-term projects and the overall user experience strategy of a single company. So its possible to see how our research impacts the company over time. As a Freelance researcher, in contrast, I’ve been able to work on a wider range of projects across different industries but don’t always have the opportunity to see the long-term impact of my work. 2. Team Collaboration: As a Full-time UX researcher, I regularly collaborate with designers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders on a consistent basis. As a freelancer, I typically work solo and provide updates to the relevant team for each project. There’s collaboration in this case but its minimal. In sum, while full-time roles offer stability, consistent collaboration, and benefits, freelance roles offer flexibility, a wider variety of projects, and the ability to run one's own business. The choice between the two often depends on personal preferences and circumstances. What are your thoughts on full time vs. Freelance work? Let me know in the comments :) #UXResearch #FreelanceLife #FullTimeJob #UserExperience #DesignJobs #FreelanceUX #JobFlexibility #StabilityVsFlexibility #CareerChoices #TeamCollaboration #UserCentric #DesignIndustry #WorkLifeBalance #JobProsAndCons #UXStrategy #FreelanceProjects #FullTimeBenefits #JobVariety #UXDesign #UXCareer #ProfessionalPaths #EmploymentOptions #jobcomparisons

Is the market picking up now? It's been dryer than the Sahara Desert recently. Then why did 7 different clients reach out last week? I traditionally get between 1-2 freelance roles per week in UX/ UI Design. In the last 4 weeks, 0 UX/ UI roles. First time in my 10 years of recruiting. We know why; Genocide, the cost of living, interest rates, election. etc. What is interesting is 7 different clients came to me in the same week. This shows that the market is picking up, even if only fractionally. What caused this? It is hard to say, but we have all just voted. It appears that clients have gained confidence after the vote. From 2 roles 17 new freelance roles in the space of a week. And more coming through as the days go by. I dont see this as a fluke, or a coincidence. But as a sign, that the market is lifting. Things are looking ⬆ #freelance #uxuidesign #vote #role #hope

Web2 ➙ Web3 UX/UI Designer 《》 Figma ● WordPress ● Framer ● Wix (Wix Studio)《》 User Centered Design 《》 Prototyping 《》 Interaction Design "Helping you make your mark on the world with remarkable designs"
Got my first UI/UX design Gig 🚀✨ A few days ago, I received a direct message on X (formerly Twitter) that changed the game for me. A simple inquiry - 'Are you working on any projects right now?' opened the door to what I can proudly call my first UI/UX design gig. 🎨💼 Reflecting on this, I'm reminded of wise words from one of my mentors who encouraged me to keep doing what I love and assured me that people are watching. It turns out, she was right. This experience underscores the importance of staying dedicated to your craft because you never know who's taking notice. I must admit, I initially doubted the impact of my online presence, but this gig is a testament that the work we put out into the digital realm doesn't go unnoticed. So here's a friendly nudge to all the fellow designers out there – keep creating, keep sharing, because you never know what opportunities might knock on your virtual door. 🚪💻 ✅️ As life gets busier, I want to be transparent with all of you. My recent ventures have kept me occupied, and while my posting frequency might dip a bit, I want to assure you that I'll still be around, sharing insights, and connecting with this amazing community. 🔅 Seeing my post for the first time, I am Blessing Adewale (Teeblix), a passionate and creative product designer. I thrive on transforming ideas into visually appealing and user-centric experiences. As I celebrate this new chapter, I'm also open to freelance gigs and remote opportunities. If you're looking for a dedicated designer to join your team or contribute to your project, feel free to reach out. Let's create something remarkable together! 🌐🤝 Thank you for your continuous support, and here's to more design adventures ahead. 🫶🎊 #uiuxdesign #productdesign #uiux #technology #design #opportunity

Are you a career changer going in to UX/UI? Don’t give up. Be willing to do what you need to do to make it work. In spite of the tough job market. It may mean you do some freelance projects It may mean picking up part-time work at a coffee shop to pay the bills while you continue to look for UX/UI jobs. It may mean you go back temporarily to your previous career with the intention of continuing to practice and build your skills in UX/UI by doing side projects. It may mean you start your own business and complete UX/UI projects for multiple clients. What it doesn’t mean is that you have to give up on your dreams. Apply UX principles to your job search. If it’s not working, adjust. But don’t give up. #dreamjob #UXdesign #careeradvice #jobsearch #careerdevelopment
