Did you know around 900,000 people suffer from dementia in the UK? This figure is projected to rise to 1.6 million people by 2040. 209,600 people will develop dementia this year – one in every 3 minutes! Currently I've raised £355 and I'm hoping to reach £500 £50 could fund 8 phone calls to a Dementia Advisor. Caring for someone with dementia can be exhausting and isolating. Sometimes it can be hard to talk about these feelings with others, but Dementia Advisers are just a phone call away, to offer emotional support, practical advice, and to reassure carers when things get tough. £200 could fund a Community Dementia Advisor for a day. Community Dementia Advisers provide face-to-face support for families facing complex challenges. Whether they're supporting someone living with dementia, a carer, or an entire family, this support is invaluable when it comes to navigating the maze of dementia. £300 could fund one Singing for the Brain session So if you can donate please click on the picture.

As you may know, Warman O’Brien's Charity Partner for last year was Jigsaw - The National Centre for Youth Mental Health. In support of their remarkable efforts, we ran in the mud, cycled, and even swam in the wild Atlantic Ocean! At the end of each quarter, our team made donations, contributed by each member of our passionate team. Throughout the year, we raised and donated £𝟲,𝟱𝟳𝟭 and are INCREDIBLY thankful to everyone involved. Supporting charities is not just empty words for us; it’s a way to contribute to the broader Life Sciences community (which is close to our hearts), to those amazing people who are committed to finding the cure, to the industry's progress, and supporting those who need help in any way. How far do you travel to get to your hospital appointments? You might not know how many miles it is but perhaps you know how many hours travel time it takes to get there. Perhaps you have to travel by an unusual mode of transport to get there if you live in a more remote location. Do you ever need to have an overnight stay in order to be able to get to your hospital appointment? You might find that it costs a lot for your train fare or in fuel costs to travel to your hospital appointments. Have you ever had to have a very early start to get to your appointment on time? And what about parking costs and parking issues at your hospital? Perhaps the challenges with getting to your hospital appointment have made you miss or cancel an appointment because it has proved too difficult to get there. We want to hear it all - All of the issues you face with getting to your hospital appointments for your / your child’s JIA as well as any potential solutions that you can think of that would make things easier for you. Challenge Accepted: Climbing Mountains for a Cause This June 8th, I’m setting out on an adventure unlike any I've undertaken before – the Three Peaks Challenge. In just 24 hours, I plan to conquer the UK's highest peaks: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon. But this challenge goes beyond testing my limits; it's a heartfelt mission to support two causes that are incredibly close to my heart – the Alzheimer's Society and Shelter. Why am I doing this? 🤔 Because I've seen first-hand the difference support and care can make in the lives of those living with Alzheimer's. And, after witnessing the harsh realities of homelessness, I know how vital a safe, warm place to call home is. This challenge is my way of contributing to the change, of bringing hope and help where it’s needed most.
